What. The Heck. Is That.

Yesterday was full of Boston Bazaar Bizarre MADNESS. Thousands upon thousands of people for 8 hours. I sold out of 1/2 my prints 2 hours into it (mostly because I ran out of ink the night before and only had about 1/2 of what I would have liked to bring).

SPEAKING OF BIZARRE, I'm kickin myself for not getting video of yesterday's live entertainment -- Jonny Spaceman. Picture this, I'm sellin stuff, all is well...THEN... this unearthly...whiney...haunting..slightly off-key rendition of Hark the Herald starts bouncing off the walls so loudly that I can hardly hear the customers. "WHAT THE?! " I look up and postioned high on a balcony overlooking the arena like a grand emcee is a man dressed in all silver playing a.... wait...what IS that thing?! Is he just waving his hands in the air?! Why is he gesturing like that?! How is he making that sound?!

A little internet research last night opened up a whole new world of musical geekery I was unaware of. Step aside tuba players and barbershop quartets, the THERAMIN is the new music geek in town. I found Jonny Spaceman himself on YouTube. Imagine hours of this....

$5 bucks says this guy still lives in his mom's basement.

That is hilarious! Thanks! I needed a good laugh today! I can't believe you had to listen to that though! Do you still play the dulcimer? I loved listening to you!

Loved your booth at the Bazaar Bizarre! I got a few of your letters and can't wait to mat and frame them!

And, thanks for posting that info about the theramin. I enjoyed sharing with my husband (who wasn't at the Bazaar) what kind of music I was listening to all day! :)

Keep up the fabulous work!

I have an awesome new dulcimer that has sadly been collecting dust under our couch for the two years since we got it. After we move to a place with a little more space in Cincinnati, one where I don't have to worry too much about bothering apartment neighbors or waking up the baby, I fully intend to get it out again. I miss it!
