Jesus And His Blackberry

(intriguing blog title, huh)

As promised to myself I'm desperately trying to slow down and soak it all in--- the season, the colors, the people... And I think it's working. Sure, deadlines aren't quite getting met, the laundry is a tad behind schedule, and Hudson's lunch today was a maple scone from Starbucks ( he didn't mind), but I am much happier this week. Just ask Daniel. Arian: 110pts, Emotional Breakdowns: 0

Crafting during a two hour tree-lined drive through the country never hurts either. Nor does a day with family celebrating a two-year-old's birthday. Here's a little taste of fall in the great state of Ohio.

Loooooove it.
My good-lookin in-laws and the pretty pink birthday girl. I think I married well.

So I hope you're soaking it in too. Here's the thought that's been running through my head... Jesus had three years to convince the world that he was the Son of God or all hell would break loose (geez, it took me that long just to convince my son that pooping in his pants wasn't all it was cracked up to be).

But Jesus didn't have a Blackberry, a calendar full of deadlines and appointments, ulcers, high blood pressure, problems with emotional eating.... So what's my deal?? (not that I have all those things now but that's the road I'm on!) All I have to do is love on my kids, love on my husband, be loved by God, and make art when there's time.

Note to self: Chill. Out. It's NOT a big deal. It's not your job. It's not your fault. So chill....out...

I think I know what you mean...It just always seems like there is so much to DO, and all of the sudden you realize that you are missing out on the little things-the really important things.
Why is emotional security so hard??
